Door Window Cranks (Type 6)

On Bugs up to 1967 and on Buses up to 1963 you will need to push back the small plastic bezel. You will see a pin coming in from the side. Use a small punch or a nail with the head removed to drive the pin out. We suggest you do this in a clean area because the pin usually flies out and you will want to be able to find it. Once the pin is out, wiggle the handle and it will come off. On 1968 and later cars, you will need to pry out the plastic cover that is over the handle. Behind it you will need to remove the phillips screw. The handles that fit the Vanagon (#321 837 581) will work on the 68 and later Bugs, Buses and Type 3's and are a heavier duty than the stock one.
