Spring loaded Safari wiper pivots
On buses up to 1964 the shaft is spring loaded so you can disengage the wiper arm and swing it into the middle, to open up the windows. On 1965 to 1967 the pivot mounts on the outside. These are not cheap but your replacing your old worn out shafts at the same time so way worth it. These do NOT require you to bend your arms like the later pivots do. To unlock the arm you just grab the base of your wiper arm and pull out as you give it a wiggle and you will feel them disengage. Then you can move them in the middle. To engage them you just swing the arm back until you feel it engage.
