These are the glues and oils we use..
We carry Penn Grade motor oil and Penn Grade transmission oil. We had been carrying Valvoline VR1. The VR1 oil is a good oil; however, we did a side by side test here in (very hot!) Redding, and found that the Penn Grade dropped the oil temp. Not a bunch, but anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees. To me that’s enough to switch. Now I’m a straight grade fan for our air cooled motors. I run straight grade 30 in the winter and straight grade 40 in the summer when temps get over 90 degrees outside. On our drag car motors I run straight 40 and on my own Nitro dragster I run the straight 50. You can call for more information on why I run straight grades if you like. We have listed the muliti grades for our water cooled friends.
