These are new hoses that are more resistant to Ethanol, meaning they last longer. This type of hose is what we now recommend.
Application:This cable pulls the arm that releases the clutch.
This cable pulls the arm that releases the clutch. When replacing the cable, it will last longer and work better if you use white grease on it and on the clevis pin or hook. The easiest way to replace a cable is to remove the nut(s) from the clutch arm at the trans. Pull the bowden tube out of the bracket so it is straight. Pull the cable out from the front and replace it in the reverse order. On 68-71 Buses a two bolt bell where the clutch pedal shaft is bolted to the frame will need to be removed to get to the clevis pin. It is good idea to replace the clevis pin at this time on buses. We recomend having a spare in the car, in case it breaks while out in the middle of nowhere.
