This coupler attaches the shift rod to the transmission.
This is a repair kit for the coupler that attaches the shift rod to the transmission. The way to check your shift rod coupler is to take two pairs of pliers and grab the shift rod and hockey stick. Now twist the rods a little to see if you have any play. If there is play, you can have shifting problems. Better think about replacing the coupler or the bushing. If the cage the bushing go into is bent at all replace the whole thing, not just the bushings.
