When you mount the middle seat, you'll want the rubber mat down and the bolts in the key slots first. Then place the mounting plates into the holes of the mat. Now place the seat on the plates and slide the hooks over the bolts and thread the nuts down and tighten them. The rear seat doesn't sit on a mat so you don't use the mounting plates, just the hooks and nuts.
